About Dr. George Murphy

My heart is in dentistry.

I’m Dr. George Murphy, founder of James Street Dentistry in New Haven. Before becoming a dentist, I gained 15 years of experience as a dental assistant and 7 years as a dental hygienist. Those experiences shaped how I listen to patients and care for their smiles.

I graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and currently work at a community dental health center in Connecticut.

At James Street Dentistry, my goal is to make dental care more accessible and affordable, with fair prices and hours that fit real life. Our mission is simple: pain relief and pain prevention.

We welcome adults and children and offer evening, weekend, and emergency appointments. Our office is bilingual in English and Spanish—hablamos español.
